Catching Up With Christine
I know, I know, I’ve been a terrible blogger…apparently it has been two years since I posted one of these! I promise to be more diligent moving forward. I’ve missed staying in touch with you!
I thought I’d take this time to get you all up-to-date on what’s been happening in my world lo’ these many months. I guess as good a place to start as any is this website, which you probably noticed immediately is not my regular Wordpress blog. Last October, I teamed up with my good friend (and insanely talented writer) John Taylor to create The Pairs With Life Podcast, which we launched in February of this year. I had been thinking about doing a podcast for quite a while, mostly as a voice and an extension of the OMG Facebook community. When John came along, I knew I’d found the perfect partner to launch the project.
Pairs With Life is not your typical wine podcast. It’s an unscripted, uncensored look at why we drink what we drink. It’s a funny and insightful conversation about parenting, relationships, sex, adulting and all the wine that goes with it. I’d love for you to give it a listen, subscribe on your favorite platform, and then let me know what you think of it. We need you to contribute to the conversation!
Speaking of contributing to the conversation, OMG I So Need A Glass Of Wine Or I’m Gonna Sell My Kids is still a strong and amazing community, growing all the time thanks to people like you! If you haven’t jumped on recently, you can do so here. More than ever, this community is a place to cut loose, express yourself, get feedback from people in a similar situation, or maybe just have a laugh or two to brighten your day.
As my daughters grow older and get a little more independent (don’t blink everybody or you’ll miss it!), I’ve been able to get back out to Napa and Sonoma and my favorite parts of wine country. Last month, I was lucky enough to be invited to Auction Napa Valley, a whirlwind weekend of food, wine and a lot of familiar faces that I’d missed. John and I have also been able to visit wineries in Sonoma and even in the Sierra Foothills for the podcast (check out some episodes for our recommendations!)
Brown Bag Botanicals is still a project that feeds my soul. A while back, I had an opportunity to sell the company, but chose not to at the last moment. Like OMG and the podcast and even this blog, BBB made me realize that the core value of all the things I do and love should be about community and authenticity. So, I continue to set up my mixers in the kitchen, blast out some Led Zeppelin and mix up batches of sugar scrubs, shea butter. It’s still all organic, all vegan and exclusively for sale online and at small pop-ups around the Sacramento area. And that’s just the way I like it. love doing it, and I hope the love comes through in it.
But enough about me…how about you? Please drop me an email or join me on Facebook and tell me about what’s going on in your life. It’s time to reconnect and stay connected!
